We are looking for a Plumbing Superintendent who will be responsible for overseeing the work of plumbers and other plumbing professionals. They commonly provide direction on projects, review completed work to ensure it meets quality standards, and coordinate with other contractors or vendors as needed.
Plumbing superintendents may also be responsible for managing a team of plumbers themselves. This might include assigning tasks to individual plumbers, providing guidance and feedback on their performance, and ensuring that they complete all assigned work in a timely manner.
Job Duties include:
- Coordinating with architects and contractors to create construction plans for new buildings or additions to existing buildings
- Inspecting work sites to ensure that construction projects are being carried out according to plans
- Managing employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, and disciplining workers
- Ensuring that all safety procedures are followed during construction projects, such as welding and scaffolding
- Conducting periodic inspections of plumbing systems, identifying issues, and recommending repairs
- Scheduling work crews and ordering materials for plumbing projects
- Interpreting blueprints and other documents used in construction projects
- Ensuring that plumbing work meets local codes and regulations
- Coordinating with insurance companies to assess damage caused by leaks or other problems
