Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and contributing to the entire engineering design project lifecycle, starting from conceptual design and extending through the development of construction drawings. Your key tasks will involve performing various analyses, including economic and energy assessments, load calculations, and the design and layout of equipment, ducts, and piping systems. Additionally, you will engage in applications engineering, sequence of operation development and review, and equipment submittal assessments.
Effective coordination with Project Management, Construction, and Service departments will be essential to ensure project success. You will also play a vital role in field engineering, offering support for project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management, and addressing challenges as they arise. A significant aspect of this role will involve using the latest modeling software to complete computer 3D modeling of plumbing systems, enhancing the precision and efficiency of project designs.
Qualifications
1. Proficiency in using design software for buildings, specifically REVIT and AutoCAD. (Use this to search for candidates)
2. Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, as well as familiarity with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and codes related to plumbing systems in commercial or industrial buildings. NFPA is an organization responsible for fire safety standards.
3. A minimum of 1 year of experience in designing plumbing systems.
4. Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
Education
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
2. Professional Engineer License (PE) (preferred)
3. Engineer in Training (EIT)
