Position Information
Performs skilled plumbing work in the installation, maintenance and repair of water, gas, drainage and sewer systems and necessary fittings and accessories; and performs other related duties as required.
There are two vacancies with the Department of Parks and Recreation. Work may involve exposure to high voltage electrical equipment and systems; heavy lifting and carrying; exposure to sewer gases; and possible night and weekend overtime work. Position serves as a Disaster Response worker during declared emergencies. List may be used to fill future vacancies in this and/or other departments.
There is one vacancy with the Department of Facility Maintenance, Public Building and Electrical Maintenance Division.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
At time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.

Experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to competently perform the journey level skills and duties of this position.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
1. Valid Hawaii State journey-level plumber's certificate of registration.
Verification Requirement: You must submit a copy of your plumber's license. Please attach an electronic copy of your plumber's license to your application, or mail or drop off a photocopy to: Department of Human Resources, 650 South King Street, 10th Floor, Honolulu, HI 96813. Copies will not be returned.
2. Appropriate valid Hawaii State driver's license, as required. The current vacancies require a valid (Type 3) license, prior to appointment.
3. The Department of Parks and Recreation vacancy requires a DOT medical certificate, prior to appointment.
All required licenses and certifications must be maintained on a current basis therefore during the course of employment in the position.
