Job Description
In this role you will help to ensure the smooth operation of plant automation systems.
Essential Functions
- Collaborating with the Electrical Supervisor, Production Managers, and Maintenance Manager to ensure the proper functioning of plant automation systems.
- Troubleshooting, programming, and maintaining PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems.
- Conducting routine inspections and diagnostics to identify and resolve issues related to automation systems.
- Assisting in the design and implementation of PLC-based control systems for plant processes.
- Participating in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
- Providing support for automation-related projects and upgrades.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Automation Technician or PLC Programmer.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in working with PLC brands such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar.
- Familiarity with HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
