PLC Programmer

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced PLC Programmerfor projects located in Covington, KY. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $37-40/hour based on experience and skill level plus $100/per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:         

• Program the vision system to identify and analyze defects and seamlessly integrate the system into our existing PLC network
• Collaborate with quality inspectors to understand current inspection procedures and defect identification criteria
• Work with the vision system vendor to learn its capabilities and programming language
• Design and implement test cases to verify the accuracy and reliability of the vision system
• Integrate the vision system with the existing PLC network for seamless data communication and automation
• Document the integration process including system configuration programming code and troubleshooting steps
• Assist with training quality inspectors on the operation and maintenance of the vision system

 

• Must be currently enrolled in an engineering or computer science program
• Strong understanding of basic electrical and automation principles
• Experience with programming languages preferably including python or c
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers PLCs is highly desirable
• Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
