Elementary is looking for a PLC Controls Engineer to play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing PLC-based control systems to enhance the efficiency and reliability of our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation, with expertise in PLC programming, control system design, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities include
- Design, program, and implement PLC-based control systems to meet project requirements.
- Troubleshoot and debug PLC programs, ensuring the timely resolution of control system issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular maintenance and updates to control systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams, assisting in diagnosing and resolving control system issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand automation needs and develop control strategies that optimize manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to integrate control systems seamlessly into overall automation solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in PLC technology, proposing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in PLC programming and control system design within an industrial automation setting.
- Proficiency in programming PLCs, with experience in Allen-Bradley. Experience with Siemens and Schneider Electric systems would be a plus.
- Familiarity with vision systems and their integration with PLCs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with cross-functional teams and providing technical support.

$80,000-$105,000
