Mobile Staff Solutions is now hiring for a Roll Plate Machine Operator in the Tampa area. This is a temporary to permanent position!
POSITION SUMMARY: The Plate Roll Machine Operator is responsible for lifting steel plates of various sizes using an overhead crane with various lifting clamps, hooks, and chains to position the plate into a CNC Roll Machine. The operator utilizes a control panel to operate the machine, which rolls the steel plate to flatten or shape it depending on the job requirements. The Plate Roll Operator continually monitors the quality and flatness/shape of the product throughout the process.
EDUCATION/MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Previous Plate Rolling Experience
3. Must know how to run a “sweep”
4. Must be able to read & understand drawings, codes & specifications
MUST HAVES / SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:
- Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with co-workers, other departments, and managers
- An individual must be able to perform each essential duty above average and always represent the company in a professional manner.
- The position requires a background in supervision, coaching, managing processes, process improvement, production planning and possess strong interpersonal skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Will ensure all established fabrication procedures are followed
2. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
3. Adhere to all safety requirements and protocols / be safety focused
4. Operate overhead crane to load, unload, and position plate on Roll Machine
5. Roll product within specified tolerance on drawings
6. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the foreman or supervisor
7. Accurately document applicable job, product, and quality information utilizing computer and paper documents as required
