Job Description
Our New Hampshire contract plastic injection molding client is hiring a Plastics Engineer to work collaboratively with medical device and component clients and internal engineering and manufacturing teams to develop new products. The hired candidate will manage each client project from start to finish. Should have experience with Plastic Engineering processes. This position reports to the V.P.
This is a direct hire/full time opportunity. Annual salary $90,000
Will consider recent grads with a min of 1-2 years’ experience in Plastic Engineering.
Plastics Engineer Responsibilities:
· Works closely with Customer Service and will be responsible for customer maintenance.
· Review customer activities (Purchase Orders, Forecasts), etc. and assist with responding to customer complaints, including providing support with scheduling and delivery issues.
· Offer technical advice for customers’ plastic part and mold design.
· Issue specifications for the Tool Room for quoting and mold fabrication activities.
· Provide the customer with status reports on tool build/project schedule and manage customer data files.
· Assist in the Document Control Maintenance.
· Issue Quality Inspection instruction documents for QC and Production.
· Advise/support QC on questions with part quality (including secondary operations and packaging).
· Provide requirements for validations (IQ/OQ/PQ) and review First Article Inspection reports.
· Provide supporting data for quotations and review actuals vs quoted for new tool builds.
· Maintain information for material use and cycle times (update to actual).
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years Plastic Engineering experience required.
1-2 years’ experience working in Medical and Manufacturing environment
