Plant Utility Supervisor

Our Dodson, LA lumber mill has an immediate opening for a Plant Utility Supervisor. This is a full-time, salaried exempt position that reports directly to the Unit Manager. As Plant Utility Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining all aspects of site facilities and yard to include but not limited to maintaining roads, salvage equipment disposal, plant utilities, fire system owner, and maintaining necessary certifications and registrations for the plant site. You will also be responsible for operating equipment such as grader, backhoe, and bulldozer, and assist with minor and/or temporary repairs.

In this role you will:

• Act as a role model for our core values: Safety, Integrity, Citizenship, and Sustainability
• Follow all Weyerhaeuser and plant safety rules and facilitate compliance with training and enforcement
• Proactively work to identify, and assist in resolving, safety, quality, and productivity issues
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Weyerhaeuser, federal, state and local laws, regulations and policies
• Responsible for payroll accuracy of direct reports, including approval process

• High School Diploma/GED
• Track record of achieving superior results both independently and through others
• Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other Windows-based programs
• Strong independent problem-solving, organization, and facilitation skills
• Mobile equipment experience
• Willing and able to work evenings and weekends when necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 3 years of supervisory/key leadership experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment 
• Site fire system experience
• Some mechanical and/or mobile equipment repair experience
