Plant Safety Manager

Title:Safety Manager

As the Safety Manager at Bridor, you'll lead efforts to reduce accidents, minimize injuries and improve facility operations. Your role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations, developing and integrating effective safety programs, overseeing incident investigations, and conducting hazard assessments. Reporting to the Plant Manager, your focus will contribute to our Safety Culture and include educating employees, managing Workers' Compensation Claims, and collaborating with operations.

Key Responsibilities...

• Provide direction on safety policies and programs
• Strengthen hazard program management
• Analyze incident reports and lead investigations
• Conduct hazard, risk, and ergonomic assessments
• Track risk assessments and create reports
• Collaborate with operations and engineering for efficiency and compliance
• Manage Workers' Compensation claims and respond to regulatory requests

Training and Development...

• Coach employees on safety improvements
• Develop and deliver training programs

Basic Qualifications...

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related scientific field, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years in manufacturing EHST role
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent leadership and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications...

• 5 years in regulatory compliance in food manufacturing
• Experience with OSHA, EPA regulations, NFPA, NIOSH, and ANSI standards
• Knowledge of HACCP, GM and BRC
• OSHA Certified training preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Working Conditions:

• Must be “hands-on” and very visible presence on the production floor at all times
• Ability to relate to employees at all levels.
