Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Plant Operations Directorto join our Linden Woods Village team! The Plant Operations Director is responsible for the overall maintenance of our community facility by ensuring the premises of are well-maintained for the residents, employees and the public. This position is responsible for all areas of building maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, and environmental services.
Responsibilities:

• Follows and upholdsthe community facility's philosophy and goal to maintain, improve and/or enhance each residents quality of care and quality of life
• Follows safety policies, assuring resident safety
• Follows and upholds policies and procedures of the community facility.
• Follows and understands the community facility's Emergency Preparedness plans
• Follows rules outlined in the community facility's employee handbook
• Attends and participates in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned
• Follows infection control guidelines
• Observes residents rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, etc.
• Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests
• Maintain, repair and service all facility equipment and furnishings as required
• Assist with transportation of the community facility'sresidents as requested
• Must possess the ability to operate machinery and equipment in a safe manner
• Must be able to read/understand technical/operations manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Assure that the facility is in accordance with all Life Safety and OSHA regulations
• Provide training to all staff in areas of Life Safety, Emergency Preparedness, OSHA, etc.
• Maintains cost records and meets budgeted guidelines
• Responsible to schedule work hours and assignments so that all Plant Operations are maintained
• Continue on-going education and training for facility systems and code requirements
• Possess ability to hire, train, supervise and retain staff; perform disciplinary action as necessary
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations
• Assist with hiring and providing orientation/training and retention of a sufficient number of qualified staff to carry out Plant Operations
• Direct vendors and regulatory inspectors to meet code requirements
• Develop and lead campus safety committee
• Position requires 24/7 on-call status
• Performs all other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Qualifications
Qualifications:

• Experience in basic plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry skills.
• Experience in a long-term care environment is preferred.
• Must have a valid state drivers license.
• Knowledge of Life Safety and OSHA regulations required.
