- Service plant and equipment as needed (e.g. minor adjustments, lubrication, cutting, welding).
- Assist with maintenance repairs as needed
- Comply with all company safety rules and regulations
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Oil, grease, and clean machine's and their parts
- Inspect equipment to evaluate machine's operational ability
- Inspect and dismantle machines and equipment to locate the causes of malfunction to correct the issue
- Repair defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system
- Welds and fabricates equipment and parts
- Perform other projects as assigned by supervisor
- Ability to work from elevated platforms, catwalks, or man-lifts
- Knowledge of plant equipment, conveyor systems, screens, wash plant, and crushers
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify mechanical malfunctions with knowledge of hydraulics,
- Ability to cut, weld, and fabricate steel
- Ability to identify and assist in repair of mechanical malfunctions
- Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods of time and lift 750 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors, tolerate multiple terrain and environmental variations
- Ability to manipulate tools (e.g. hand tool, power tools)
- Good communication and radio skills
- Valid Driver's License
