Job Summary:

Support Aggregate & Asphalt plant needs by ensuring a safe and productive work environment. Primary duties include, but not limited to the safe and efficient diagnosis, adjustment and repair of plant equipment. Operate and maintain various pieces of equipment, such as, but not limited to front end loader, off road haul truck, water truck, skid steer loader, excavator and stock truck. Training will also be provided for this position as well in other areas of Aggregate and Asphalt production to widen opportunities and experience.

Essential Functions:

• Operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in material production.
• Perform daily pre and post inspection with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to supervisor.
• Properly follow company, OSHA and MSHA daily safety procedures & protocols as outlined in job orientation & Training.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Dismantle and reassemble plant equipment using proper tools and equipment.
• Follow directions of the site supervisor as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or job site.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and customers.
• Wear proper work attire and PPE at all times.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers and supervisors with other duties as assigned or required.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Willingness to learn, take direction and follow safe work procedures.
• Capable of working outdoors year-round.
• Willingness to work weekends and long hours during peak season.
• Valid Driver’s license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
