What you will do:

Ferroglobe has an immediate opening for a Plant Foreman. The Plant Foreman contributes to the mine's profit and loss by managing the mine maintenance activities, ensuring that the mine operates safely and at maximum efficiency.

• Work with the Plant Manager & Superintendent to develop the overall mine maintenance, operations, equipment selection, labor, material, and supplies needed.
• Manage full maintenance & operations of wash plant and mining equipment.
• clean and maintain plant, mine equipment and loadout facilities.
• Install, clean, and maintain conveyor belts and associated material handling equipment.
• Install and maintain pumps, piping and associated power equipment.
• Load, deliver, unload and distribute supplies and parts.
• Maintain and when needed operate mobile equipment assigned to the plant processing facility. (As required)
• Assist coworkers in any or all the above.

What we seek:

• Be on call as needed
• MSHA Certification
• 3+ years working at an aggregate facility operating, repairing and trouble-shooting the plant is preferred.
• Skilled in decision making relative to maintenance operations.
• Good organization and communication skills.
• 3-5 years surface mining supervisory experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Working Environment:

• Performs jobs under varying conditions (dust, oil, grease, hot and humid temperatures, fumes, noise, etc.)
• Ability to lift 50lbs, Floor to waist, Waist to shoulder. Overhead, Carry 20 feet
• Wears proper PPE in the manufacturing area (shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection)
