Plant Controller

This permanent role offers remote employment and is located in the Russellville, Arkansas Region, collaborating with a manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consolidation of International Subsidiary Accounts:
• Manage the accounting books of the international (Mexico) subsidiary.
• Cash Management:
• Perform daily cash reconciliation.
• Provide a weekly cash flow forecast based on AP/AR aging, payment trends, and forecast information for the next 12 weeks.
• Month-End Closing:
• Demonstrate the ability to consistently close month-end by the 5th business day of the following month.
• Accounts Receivable:
• Respond to customers promptly, ensuring timely statements.
• Collect past-due accounts receivable if aging extends beyond contract terms.
• General Ledger and Reconciliation:
• Ensure the accuracy of the General Ledger.
• Complete monthly general ledger reconciliation.
• Lean Accounting and Cost Implications:
• Identify and quantify cost or time-saving procedures.
• Utilize lean accounting skills to communicate cost implications of potential changes.
• Communication and Reporting:
• Effectively communicate weekly issues stalling cash postings to management.
• Escalate issues regarding collections and cash postings on a weekly basis.
• Inventory Management:
• Manage inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy of raw, WIP, and finished goods inventory.
• Implement new procedures as needed to improve accuracy and reduce costs.
• Financial Audits:
• Take the lead as the company representative for annual financial audits.
• Provide all necessary audit trail documentation to support financial statements.
• Additional Responsibilities:
• Fill in as needed for AP/AR entry.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of multiple ERP systems and learn new systems with minimal intervention.
• Assess and manage customer and/or supplier contracts comprehensively.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working with IMMEX/Maquiladora Mexico subsidiaries.
• Deep understanding of and experience with cost accounting, specifically in the contract manufacturing space.
• Proficiency in Cash Flow Analysis.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial statement preparation.
• Budget and forecasting experience required.
• Month-end closing experience required.
• Inventory analysis experience preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines.
• Outstanding technology, analytics, and management experience required.
• Demonstrated analytical abilities with a tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes.
• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another business-related field.
