Job Description:
Indorama Integrated Oxides & Derivatives is currently looking for a Plant Clerk at our Dayton, TX facility. In this role, you will provide general administrative clerical duties for the Dayton facility.
What will be expected from you?
- Maintain, review, and coordinate handling of files (maintenance, production, and regulatory).
- Maintain the plant library (central file system), including record retention and shipment of files to permanent storage.
- Provide general clerical administrative assistance by preparing documents and spreadsheets, handling office supplies, and working with office equipment.
- Provide for plant mail service including all mail shipments into and outside facility. Open and distribute all mail.
- Maintain the medical supplies cabinet for the plant.
- Fill in for the Traffic Clerk as needed.
- Place raw material stock transfer orders as directed by the production planner.
- Escort guests from Front Gate Security to perspective locations as needed for meetings by Team Leads, etc.
- Periodically engage in incoming calls, relay clear messages to associates, team leads, etc.
- Preserve, review, label, and file plant generated documents for record archival, retention and storage at site. Maintain plant spreadsheet on N-Drive for location of specific documents.
- Provide administrative assistance of documents, spreadsheets, plant wide communications articulately.
- Maintain plant monitor laptop with the use of Power Point displaying communications from plant departments as needed.
- Provide for plant mail services such as FedEx, mail services into and outside of facility. Distribute all mail as required.
- Maintain medical supplies cabinet for the plant.
- Maintain and order office supplies as advised.
- Scribe for EHS drills, incidents etc.
- Fill in for Traffic Specialist as needed.
- Attend PAT Team daily meetings.
- Send out Dayton After Hours weekly.
- Place raw material stock transfer orders as directed by plant production planner.
- Run daily SAP reports for next day incoming raw material bulk and pack deliveries and schedule on Plant production portal (OCAMS).
- Coordinate with Front gate security for proper required criteria of incoming paperwork, Certificate of Analysis, batch numbers and material codes with corporate purchasers.
- Coordinate Employee Team Building events, purchases items need with company issued credit card.
- Plan and coordinate company events, meetings, receptions with refreshments and hospitality as needed.
- Reconcile purchases monthly with company issued credit card for submittal and payment.
- Coordinate with Plant manager, team leads of discretionary rewards thru our Munro’s safety apparel site.
- Coordinate Service Anniversaries awards for plant employees.
- Remain active with community thru local Chamber of Commerce for luncheons, sponsorships, Citizen Advisory Meetings, and Social Responsibility initiatives as set forth by company.
- Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
- Assists other employees in accomplishment of Indorama company goals.
- Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
- Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
- High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience.
- 2+ years in a manufacturing facility preferred. SAP experience a plus.
- Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email and Microsoft Office programs.
- Communicate tactfully and effectively with other departments within the company to ensure application of proper business practices.
- Recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.
- Work well under pressure, multi-task, prioritizing tasks according to requirements and deadlines.
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
