Job description

Within our 600-person Roswell, New Mexico manufacturing facility we are seeking a PlantAccounting Supervisorto help us achieve the growth needed to continue moving our organization to even larger levels.

  • Lead and coach team employees in Accounting Department by implementing programs in technical training, safety, quality, communications, performance recognition, and internal employee development to drive peak employee engagement and productivity.
  • Perform regular audits of plant records and processes, identifies discrepancies, and recommends course for correction.
  • Report on and analyzes production statistics for cheese, whey, and cheese processing (Yield & Efficiencies, Inventory, Usage, etc.).
  • Apply established accounting procedures for the control and audit of manufactured product and raw materials inventories.
  • Maintain all financial controls needed for all areas of the Plant in conjunction with internal and external audits. Includes inventory, policies, and state requirements.
  • Work within the plant Information Systems, including SAP, MES, Kronos, and Maximo, with the understanding of data flows, and the financial reporting structure for each process.
  • Supervise the completion of daily Kronos activities, provides support during weekly Payrolls, and serves as a Trainer/Power User for Kronos users throughout the facility.
  • Maintain timely and accurate payroll and accounts payable records to utilize for Plant, regional, and corporate financial reporting.
  • Maintain contact with plant suppliers and AP vendors as needed to process necessary AP activities.
  • Participate in budget activities by performing analytical reviews and by completing financial reporting to determine variances and provide accurate financial forecasting and analysis

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):
  • 3+ year of accounting experience.
  • 1+ year of experience leading, mentoring, and/or delegating work.

We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or similar work experience in a related industry
  • Dairy/Cheese manufacturing experience
