We are looking for a talented Planner / Schedulerwho is responsible for utilizing Epicor ERP system to support planning and scheduling functions for materials and resources to meet the needs of production, purchasing, engineering, and project management departments in an ETO manufacturing environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Monitor scheduling system and distribute schedules for the fabrication and machining departments using ERP system
- Knowledge of scheduling systems, principles, and methods including understanding of MRP, MRP II, and APS
- Scheduling experience utilizing ERP/MRP Systems
- Thorough understanding of BOM structures and routings for assembly and machined details
- Review shop loads reporting issues and providing possible solutions
- Review manufacturing times of completed jobs and adjust as needed
- Manage outside process purchase orders
- Monitor and assist with material flow
- Expedite when needed
- Enter routings for new parts and/or modify existing
- Release jobs based on MRP generated requirements
- Process engineering releases and change orders
- Manage job dates to ensure they meet planned milestones and alert management of any concerns
- Provide feedback and status on projects and assigned tasks
- Make schedule adjustments, predict workload, and forecast deliveries as required to ensure all materials are available prior to the start of mechanical assembly
- Identify scheduling software training needs and remain current on the advancements in scheduling software and methods
- Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment
- All other related duties as assigned
- Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience with machine shop equipment sufficient to process details per design tolerances
- Minimum 3 years’ experience reading and understanding engineering drawings including section views
- Understanding and implementation for Lean Principles including 5S, Kanban, Continuous Improvement, etc.
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, written & interpersonal
- Highly organized and disciplined work ethic
- Attention to detail with the ability to focus on all areas of a project or task
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- The position is located in a mixed office and test laboratory environment and will involve hands-on work. Physical activity may include lifting (up to 50lbs.), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity or sitting for long periods of time
- Ability to speak verbally, and read in English
- Ability to see with corrective lenses
- Ability to hear
- Ability to walk
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically
- Normal hazards related to working in an office environment, manufacturing, and testing environment
- Normal hazards related to road and air travel
