    Monday Night Brewing is an award-winning craft brewery based out of Atlanta, with a distribution footprint across Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and now, North Carolina. We currently operate two taprooms in Atlanta, GA, a brewpub in Birmingham, AL, a full-service taproom in Nashville, TN, and a taproom in Charlotte, NC. In our twelfth year of operation, we are proud to produce a vast portfolio—spanning from small batch New England IPAs to barrel-aged stouts, approachable kettle sours to mixed culture ambers, hop-forward West Coast IPAs to craft hard seltzers.

    Monday Night Brewing (Garden Co.) is seeking an experienced Pizzaiolo Kitchen Closer to join our tight knit, growing team in our pizza kitchen. This is a full-time position based in Charlotte's South End neighborhood.

    Reports to:

    • Kitchen Manager

    High-Level Goals:

    • Ensure customers receive an excellent food experience through exceptional food quality and service.
    • Understand and abide by federal, state, and local food regulations to maintain compliance and uphold the highest food safety standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Daily Opening and Closing Tasks: Ensure the kitchen's smooth daily opening and closing, overseeing and guiding the team in executing these tasks effectively.
    • Team Coordination: Supervise and guide kitchen staff in all positions, ensuring a well-organized and efficient kitchen operation.
    • Compliance: Uphold all company, food safety, and service policies to maintain the highest quality and safety standards.
    • Food Production: Plan and execute food production to ensure freshness, minimize waste, and meet our quality standards.
    • Menu Preparation: Prepare menu items in accordance with recipe cards, adhering to cooking methods, portion definitions, plate presentation, and quality standards consistently.
    • Stock Management: Keep the line station well-stocked with food products and supplies to ensure seamless service during peak periods.
    • Food Safety: Ensure correct temperatures and proper methods for holding and reheating food items.
    • Quality Control: Maintain the quality of the final food presentation and work towards achieving fast ticket times.
    • Inventory Management: Keep storage areas organized, clean, and properly labeled. Utilize the FIFO inventory method for food and supplies.
    • Training: Provide in-person training to newly hired cooks when assigned by the General Manager or Kitchen Manager.
    • Food Truck Inventory: Responsible for ordering inventory for our food truck.
    • Other Tasks: Be ready to take on additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the leadership team.

    Success Metrics:

    • Timely and Efficient Opening/Closing: The ability to consistently complete opening and closing tasks within the designated timeframes is crucial for ensuring smooth operations and meeting customer expectations.
    • Compliance with Food Safety Regulations: Adherence to federal, state, and local food safety regulations is essential to maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment, safeguarding customers' well-being, and meeting legal requirements.
    • Customer Satisfaction: Providing a positive customer experience through high-quality food, efficient service, and attention to detail is paramount for maintaining customer loyalty and driving business growth.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be 21+
    • Minimum of 2 years' kitchen experience in fast-paced environment
    • Dynamic, action-oriented team player that is self-motivated and confident in making independent decisions
    • Ability to lead people
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities
    • Must have strong interpersonal skills with a hospitality mindset
    • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and guests
    • Ability to comprehend and react to financial performance in operations, basic math skills
    • Knowledge of physical inventory methods and food ordering processes
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Flexible working schedule, primarily weekends and evenings
    • ServSafe certified
    • Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to climb, lift, reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift at least 40 pounds
    • Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours in hot, wet, humid and loud environments. This position is extremely physical and demanding in nature and involves working with potentially dangerous equipment, machinery, exposure to high noise levels, and handling of hazardous materials
    • Uses repetitive motions
    • Can work in both hot and cold temperatures

    Compensation:

    • $23.50/hour, reviewed annually
