Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Shift Lead to join our dynamic team in our scratch Pizza Kitchen. As a Kitchen Shift Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the kitchen team, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and service. This position requires a passion for pizza, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining a positive and efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Supervision:
• Supervise and lead kitchen staff during scheduled shifts.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to ensure a cohesive and efficient working environment.
• Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.
• Kitchen Operations:
• Oversee the daily operations of the scratch Pizza Kitchen.
• Ensure all food items are prepared and presented according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste.
• Quality Control:
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure food quality, portion control, and adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Address any deviations from standard procedures and implement corrective actions.
• Training and Development:
• Train new kitchen staff on pizza-making techniques, kitchen procedures, and safety protocols.
• Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of the kitchen team.
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other departments, such as front-of-house staff and management, to ensure smooth communication and coordination of operations.
• Participate in regular meetings to discuss improvements, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
• Problem-solving:
• Proactively identify and address issues that may impact kitchen operations and customer satisfaction.
• Work with the team to find creative solutions to challenges and continuously improve processes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a scratch Pizza Kitchen or similar high-volume culinary environment.
• Strong knowledge of pizza-making techniques, dough preparation, and oven operations.
• Previous leadership experience, with a focus on team building and employee development.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen.
