Maximus is currently hiring for a Pitney Bowes Machine Operator to join our Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team in Houston, TX. The Pitney Bowes Machine Operator is responsible for the running and maintaining of the Pitney Bowes printer and envelope stuffing machine for the purpose of processing claimant appointment packages (CAPs) and all manner of Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) reimbursement and facility checks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - The daily processing of claimant appointment packets to include all printing, stuffing, and shipping; - The daily processing of veteran mileage reimbursement checks as well as biweekly and monthly doctor pay and facility reimbursement checks; - Trouble shooting any mechanical or IT related issues with the Pitney Bowes machines and the Send Suite Live software; - Maintaining inventory of critical supplies for the Pitney Bowes printer and stuffer machine; - Maintaining all mechanical needs for the Pitney Bowes stuffing machine to include replacing all wear prone components; - Strict adherence to time schedules and timelines; - Processing of all rejected files in the Pitney Bowes server to include sending CAPS manually if needed; - Working and troubleshooting with Pitney Bowes Tech support and technicians on site. Additional Duties and Responsibilities: - Attend meetings as required; - Ability to lift boxes and supplies weighing 20- 30 lbs.; - Must abide by HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of records and personal information; - Read and respond to emails in a timely manner; - Other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Good to moderate computer troubleshooting; - Good to moderate mechanical ability to facilitate machine change over and maintenance; - Advanced analytical skills and detail- oriented; - Advanced reading and comprehension abilities; - Advanced written communication skills, to include excellent grammar; - Advanced multi- tasking skills; - Advanced organizational and prioritization skills, with strong ability to meet strict deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: High school graduate; some college preferred
- Previous Pitney Bowes experience preferred
- Previous mailroom experience working with large printing/inserter machines preferred
- Experience with computer troubleshooting preferred
- Mechanical ability to facilitate machine change over and maintenance preferred
- Ability to lift boxes and supplies weighing 10-60 lbs required
- Ability to work onsite in the Houston, TX office required
- Ability to work a shift of 10:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday CT required
- Ability to work Saturday as needed within the hours of 10:00am-6:00pm CT required
- Ability to commit to a two week training period of 10:00am-6:00pm CT Monday-Friday with zero absences required

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment.
