SUNWEST AVIATION HAS BEEN A FAMILY OPERATION SINCE 1987. Located in beautiful San Luis Obispo, SunWest Aviation is a Flight School and executive air charter specialist.

FLIGHT SCHOOL Our Flight School boasts a fleet of eight aircraft, and currently keeps four to six instructors on staff in addition to our office staff. SunWest Aviation Flight School is open 9am-5pm, 7 days a week. These are the hours our office is staffed; flights may occur at any time of any day given they are booked properly in advance. Aircraft maintenance does not need to occur during this time either, so maintenance hours are flexible.

YOUR ROLE You will work independently to run our shop: performing inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance on piston flight training aircraft and privately owned airplanes. The successful candidate will possess the appropriate personality to multi-task and run the shop, while maintaining a constant focus on safety and quality. Technicians will need to adhere to the maintenance and manufacturer manuals, and make safety-focused decisions on a day to day basis.
