POSITION SCOPE:

In this role, you will model commercial plumbing and hydronic/mechanical piping systems for new build and renovation projects. Models will be constructed using Revit 2022 or the latest version with FabricationMEP parts. You will produce coordinated 3D models at a fabrication quality level and provide necessary files and documentation from design to field installation.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand specifications, submittal, and contract scope of work per project; design systems to these standards in conjunctions with local and required code
  • Represent design in 3D model using Revit 2022 and FabricationMEP
  • Coordinate designed systems with all trades and existing conditions and assist in identifying required project design changes for system operability
  • Use company provided software to meet the required standards and procedures of PLS Companies CAD Department
  • Generate shop drawings, fabrication spools, field installation drawings, and other documentation as needed for each project
  • Maintain regular communication with BIM Manager and participate in project procedural meetings to enhance design-to-install models that meet or exceed the project requirements
  • Assist in maintaining CAD Department Standards, software databases, and department hardware
  • Be able to lead MEP coordination and clash detection and work with all contractors and team members to solve problems
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with drafting and design-related software including AutoCAD and Revit. A minimum of 2 years of experience using Revit is required
  • Experience drawing Mechanical piping and equipment systems
  • Ability to use Bluebeam REVU, Navisworks, Procore, FabricationMEP and Microsoft Products
  • Capacity to interact professionally with project teams both internally and externally in a positive and proactive manner
  • Self-motivated and eager learner with the capacity to grow and develop within the team
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering construction drawings
  • Strong verbal, writing, editing, and research skills
  • High attention to detail, meticulous, and focused on quality
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
  • Must have a Valid Driver's License with clean record
  • Preferred experience in plumbing and mechanical systems and/or carry a State of Colorado Plumbing Journeyman License

COMPENSATION: $26.50 - $34.75 per hour DOE
