Pipeyard Operator

Role Overview:A Pipe yard Operator is capable of the physical demands of a fast-paced environment while achieving results and maintaining safe operations. Transfers tubular products to storage locations and inspection facilities using heavy machinery and other loading/unloading methods. Responsible for the storage, retrieval, processing, and accuracy of product. Responsible for successful adherence to the productivity program of the Pipe Yard.Responsibilities:

• Receive pipe from delivery drivers and carefully place within our yard in an appropriate and safe lay down area
• Report any overage, shortage and damages from that deliveries to the appropriate agents or supervisors
• Operate various capacity forklifts not to exceed 45,000 lbs in a safe and competent manner
• Properly use the scanners and warehouse management system to input data and update the system as to the status of the received inventory
• Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through process development and management.
• Daily maintenance of pipe yard
• Keep control over the material(s) for different jobs (separates & stages)
• Coordinates and monitors operations within department to ensure performance production rates are consistent with business plan, reducing irregularities and misdirects.
• Other duties as needed

Requirements:

• Two (2) plus years Warehouse experience.
• Extensive verifiable forklift operating experience, preferably in a pipe yard, or operating 10,000+ lbs forklifts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Can work independently with minimal supervision
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Demonstrated analytical ability to gather and interpret information, and develop, recommend and implement solutions.
• Basic computer skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
