Pipefitter Leadman (Fire Sprinkler Systems)

Position Summary
Provide oversight and direction in Fire Sprinkler system job assignments, job coordination, set-up, installation, and inspection of work completion.
Primary Responsibilities
• Read and interpret blueprints, ISO's, field installations, material takeoffs, field sketches, and
understand specifications
• Fabricate and install screw pipe, Victaulic pipe in relation to Fire Sprinkler Systems with knowledge
and experience with socket weld pipe, stainless tubing, carbon steel weld pipe, stainless steel weld pipe
• Perform on-site inspections of Fire Sprinkler Systems
• Victaulic pipe equipment
• Experience in backflow testing
• Miter and fabricate all pipe
• Installs valves, underground pipe, pipe hangers and supports
• Steam and heat tracing
• Use beveling machine
• Minor valve maintenance and repair
• Test piping systems
• Oxygen and acetylene cutting
• Basic rigging
• Operation of pneumatic and electric tools
• Leak test tubing systems
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties
• Excellent customer service and verbal skills
• Effective communication skills
• Excellent critical thinking skills
• Motivated self-started
• MS Office applications

Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years industrial construction/maintenance Fire Sprinkler Systems inspection experience
• Texas State License for Responsible Managing Employee - General (RME-G) at a minimum
• National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) is a plus
• NCCER Pipe Certified Plus (Preferred)
