Pipefitter - 2Nd Shift

Based in Florence, New Jersey, DCF began as the DeLaval Condenser Division in the 1960’s as the leader in the design, technology, and manufacture of steam condensers and heat exchangers for government and commercial heat transfer applications. Today, DCF is a major supplier to the Navy Shipbuilding Program.

This position is part of a bargaining unit and does pay shift differential on top of hourly rate for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Requirements of the 2nd Shift PIPEFITTER:

• Must be able to work 2nd Shift. Schedule: Monday-Friday 3:30PM - 12:00AM.
• Must be able to work 1st shift for several weeks, for training purposes.
• Ability to read, write, understand and follow work instructions.
• Experience working with hand tools such as grinders, tape measures, scales, etc.
• Experience, or the ability to learn the use of gas cutting and sand blasting equipment.
• Experience, or the ability to learn how to read and interpret blueprints related to the product.
• Experience, or the ability to learn how to build component subassemblies/fabrications.
• Mechanical and heavy industrial skills/background a plus.
• Must be a motivated person with the desire to either obtain or build on your existing knowledge/skills.
• Good communications skills. Must have the ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
• US citizenship is required at time of hire.
