Pipe Fitter

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Technologist to join our team located in Tonawanda, NY. The Technologist will be responsible for the overall maintenance of mechanical equipment & mechanical systems.
Responsibilities

• Oversees location's Process Safety Mechanical Integrity Program
• Assists in the development and review fabrication drawings.
• Oversees and/or performs new equipment installations
• Follow safe working practices and Utilizes hand and portable power tools and follows safe working practices through all steps of equipment fabrication, repair, and maintenance.
• Coordinates and oversees the movement of materials and equipment as required
• Collaborate on site with execution of Contractor Safety Program
• Other duties as defined

Qualifications:
Qualifications

• Knowledge of cutting and welding methods,
• Ability to understand blueprints, and experience with tools and equipment used on the job.
• Knowledge of high-pressure piping systems.
• Ability to build equipment and small piping systems.
• Bachelor of Science strongly preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
• 5 - 10 years of equipment maintenance experience in chemical manufacturing setting preferred
• Knowledgeable in OSHA Process Safety Management Program elements including Mechanical Integrity, Management of Change, Operating Procedure Elements
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Valid welding license

• Strong communication skills
• Basis Computer skills - Microsoft applications.
