Job Title Head Pickleball Professional
Position Summary:
The Head Pickleball Professional will work closely with the Director of Racquets and Racquets Operations Manager to offer the Broken Sound Club Membership an active Pickleball program. This is an onsite position for the required time during the work week.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Member Services teams at Broken Sound Club, in Boca Raton, FL, pride themselves in providing the highest standards of Member Satisfaction for members and their guests and ensure they receive the absolute best in personal service and support.
· Available on a full-time basis to offer private, semi-private, and group instruction to the members in both Pickleball and Tennis.
· Oversee Pickleball courts to ensure cleanliness and playability including drying, when necessary, throughout the day.
· Actively involved in the development and promotion of events, leagues and teams for the club members and implementation of all Pickleball clinics and events.
· Needs to be knowledgeable of Pro Shop operations on a “hands on” basis. Head Pro will be willing and able to cover the Pro Shop as necessary.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Ability to perform the above responsibilities in a satisfactory manner
Must be a tournament level player in both Pickleball and Tennis and be able to instruct all levels of players. Must have knowledge of all merchandise related to the sport. Must be able to demonstrate the exact stroking method of hitting a tennis ball during a lesson.
Education & Work Experience Requirements:
Four-year college degree preferred. USPTA/PPR or equivalent certification preferred and have passed any or all requirements recognized by that organization. Must have several years of coaching experience at the country club level.
