COVID-19 PROTOCOL
The health and well-being of our colleagues remain our top priority throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and we continue to implement workplace safety measures based on guidance from public health officials and our internal clinical experts.
One of the most important things we can do to maintain a safe and healthy workplace is to ensure that colleagues who are ill or exhibiting symptoms associated with COVID-19 do not come into a CVS worksite. We have already implemented temperature screening protocols at our site utilizing contactless thermal scanners.
Contactless thermal scanners will detect elevated temperatures and will be installed at two employee entrances. A thermal scanner will be located at the security and small break room employee entrances.
The temperature scan is simple, quick, and involves looking into a thermal camera. Any colleague with an elevated temperature will be rechecked with a contactless handheld thermometer and will be asked to return home if the second scan exhibits a temperature of 100 F or above. The colleague can return to the office when they are fever-free for at least 72 hours.
As part of the temperature screening process, *** will not store or record any data or images. If you have an elevated temperature and are sent home, documentation will be retained in a confidential secured file, separate from your personnel file.
Colleagues should remember to complete a daily wellness self-check before coming in to work to confirm you dont have any symptoms associated with COVID-19. Ask your supervisor for a copy of the Wellness Self-Check document.
If you have any of the symptoms listed on the self-check or otherwise feel ill, please stay home, do not come into work, and contact your health care provider.
You must remain at home until you are symptom-free for at least 24 hours and fever-free for at least 72 hours.
Please note: at this time, we are limiting access to our buildings to selected colleagues, contingent workers, and certain pre-approved vendors. The no visitors rule is still in effect. All individuals entering the site will be required to have their temperature screened, wear approved masks, and gloves, where appropriate.
