Responsibilities:
- Be trained in our lessons program
- Mentor and encourage the development of students musical expression
- Assign homework
- Note attendance
- Document students learning progress
- Prepare students for community performances and school performances
- May prepare students for competitions as BSMA rep, or for special auditions.
- WIll teach small groups and bands (group pay rate - is higher)
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field
- Solid Piano skills
- Ability to create a warm, engaging, and encouraging music learning experience in 1-on-1
- Must pass background test, showing suitability to teach children
- Can work independently, and be directed at times.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized
- Ideally 2+ years' experience teaching music to ages 5 to Adult.
