We are seeking an energetic and experienced Piano Faculty member to join our team! The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a passion for teaching students ages 6 and up, and Adults, and can help to provide a great musical foundation. This is an in-school (not in-home or online-only) position.
The successful candidate will be an employee, not an independent contractor.
Responsibilities:

• Be trained in our lessons program
• Mentor and encourage the development of students musical expression
• Assign homework
• Note attendance
• Document students learning progress
• Prepare students for community performances and school performances
• May prepare students for competitions as BSMA rep, or for special auditions.
• WIll teach small groups and bands (group pay rate - is higher)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field
• Solid Piano skills
• Ability to create a warm, engaging, and encouraging music learning experience in 1-on-1
• Must pass background test, showing suitability to teach children
• Can work independently, and be directed at times.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organized
• Ideally 2+ years' experience teaching music to ages 5 to Adult.
