The AVALA Physician Network is actively searching for a boardcertified/board eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to joinits award-winning roster of physicians. The right candidate will work with agrowing community of providers and physicians to offer the highest standards ofmedical care to the Greater New Orleans area and surrounding communities. BoardCertified and Board Eligible physicians are invited to explore the excitingmedical landscapes AVALA has to offer and be a part of building a practice tofurther develop relationships within our community and with our patients. In addition to the hospital, AVALA provides diagnosticimaging services, physical and hand therapy, physician clinics, and urgentorthopedic care. Primary Care Physician Responsibilities:
a Provides and managesdirect patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for aspecified patient population.
a Prescribespharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate toassessed medical conditions.
a Refers patients tospecialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
a Directs and coordinatesthe patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
a Follows establisheddepartmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous qualityimprovement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection controlstandards.
