NATURE OF POSITION: The physician is a member of the interdisciplinary health team of The Clinic (COFMC) and works in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer and the medical team. As an OB-GYN, you will test, treat, diagnose, and monitor disorders and illnesses related to women's health and their reproductive systems. You will perform exams and procedures, counsel patients, and treat women through their entire pregnancy terms and beyond.

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

RESPONSIBLE TO: Chief Medical Officer (CMO)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

        • Graduate of formal accredited medical or osteopathic school
        • Candidate must have completed a U.S. accredited OB/Gyn residency program.
        • Must be licensed by Oklahoma State Board of Licensure of Supervision
        • Experienced in ambulatory care settings, and preferred experience in teaching program.
        • Interest and/or experience in collaboration with interdisciplinary health teams
        • Possesses medical skills at a high level of competency.
        • Maintains current continuing medical education and requirements for privileges.
        • Must possess current DEA and OBNDD licenses.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Participates in the provision of first contact care and coordination of continuity of care to all OB/Gyn clients.
  • Participates in the coordination of community agencies and/or resources in providing continuity of care.
  • Participates in the continuing education of the medical staff.
  • Participates in individual client or family education or counseling activities in collaboration with other members of The Clinic’s interdisciplinary team.
  • Assists with development and implementation of medical care policies and procedures to ensure compliance with existing standards, practices, and funding source regulations.
  • Assists with overall coordination and administration of clinic health care services and activities including clinical indicators, health care plan and performance improvement.
  • Performs a physical examination, using the skills of auscultation, percussion, palpation, and inspection.
  • Provides outpatient obstetrics and gynecology services throughout assigned clinic locations.
  • Provides inpatient obstetrics and gynecology services, including infant delivery and related surgical procedures, at partner hospitals.
  • Participates in Clinical Outcomes Program and work towards meeting organizational targets for all metrics.
  • Maintains the required productivity expectations for time spent in clinic.
  • Participates in administrative duties, including lab reports, charts, and medication refills reviewed and managed appropriately.
  • Follows medical practice policies and procedures, including attending all mandatory meetings, minimizing incident reports, using resources efficiently, and practicing medicine in a cost-effective manner.
  • Completes all required documentation accurately, timely, and thoroughly in accordance with department standards and to comply with electronic medical record requirements, including medication reconciliation, finalizing notes, clearing out personal pool, and participating in clinic pool.
  • Determines final disposition of client and makes appropriate referrals to other resources when necessary.
  • Participates in clinical audit.
  • Provides after hours coverage as outlined by policy of The Clinic
  • Provides for The Clinic’s clients in collaboration with other physicians.
  • Assists in making patient services more accessible, effective, and efficient. Strives to minimize unnecessary costs.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
