Job description

Description

Who we are: Advanced Radiology Services is one of the largest 100% physician-owned and managed practices in the country. Our team includes 215 radiologists, 44 advanced practice providers, and more than 200 employees providing administrative support in our wholly owned subsidiary STARS. We are committed to remaining independent and providing the highest level of care to our patients. We value diversity on our team and promote a culture of inclusion.

What we do: We provide services to more than 60 different sites across the state of Michigan. ARS is the exclusive radiology provider to West Michigan's largest Level I trauma center and research hospital, Corewell Health. Corewell provides care to a diverse patient population across a 13-county area.

What we are looking for: We are currently seeking a full time, partnership track Interventional Radiologistto join our team of 12 in Grand Rapids. This position will primarily cover Corewell Butterworth and Blodgett but may have occasional off-site shifts. Our IR team also services a dedicated pediatric hospital, an interventional radiology outpatient clinic and a separate outpatient cancer center.

Responsibilities:

Greater than 90% interventional radiology with some general diagnostic radiology responsibilities.

The IR practice covers a wide spectrum of inpatient and outpatient interventional procedures, including interventional oncology, vertebral augmentation, TIPS, ablations, trauma embolization, GIB embolization, venous intervention, central venous access including implanted ports, peripheral vascular disease, biopsies, pain management procedures, diagnosis/treatment of vascular malformations, etc.

Why is our IR practice unique? ARS is a 100% physician owned and managed practice and fully committed to remaining independent. We are establishing a state-wide IR service leveraging our DR (distributed radiology) platform. This allows us to interact with colleagues and provide expertise in all locations. Our practice values IR and provides dedicated clinic time and support for physicians. Our clinic has 7 full time registered nurses and 3 clinical/administrative support staff to assist our patients 24/7. Additionally, we have an outstanding team of Advanced Practice Providers rounding and performing minor procedures at our hospitals throughout the state. We have quarterly peer review meetings to support physicians and promote continued learning. We also have an interventional radiology residency program in Grand Rapids which will allow our physicians opportunity for teaching and research if desired. We offer residents a broad exposure to all image-guided procedures with exceptional opportunities in oncologic, musculoskeletal, vascular, thromboembolic and palliative/pain intervention.

Compensation/Benefits: We offer a significant recruitment incentive (sign on bonus), competitive compensation plan, stipends for on-site shifts, and opportunities for additional shifts on a month to month basis. Our physicians pay $0 for single or family medical/dental/vision coverage and enjoy an $18,000 medical reimbursement account annually. We also contribute the maximum amount allowed to the 401K plan ($66,000 in 2023). We offer 13 weeks of vacation for our standard track positions and we have a brand new 6-week parental leave benefit!
