VHMS has been providing consultative examinations referred by the Department of Rehabilitative Services (DARS) for the last 28 years.
We are seeking a medical doctor interested in a moonlighting opportunity to join our team in San Antonio, TX. The role requires working on-site and providing physical evaluations. Please note, these exams are not Workers Compensation evaluations. Rather, these evaluations include an objective physical examination focusing on the individuals claimed medical conditions. Our physicians do not diagnose, treat, follow-up or provide an opinion in any way. The candidate will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide the highest quality examination on scheduled clinic days, usually one to two days a week, that have been scheduled one to two months in advance. VHMS has a flexible clinic schedule with excellent pay and support staff.
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution, preferably a BC FP or BE/BC IM.
Current and valid medical license in the state of Texas
Strong foundation in internal medicine, family medicine
Excellent diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and provide high-quality physical evaluations
Pay
$825 - $1100 per clinic day or $110 to $165 per hour
