Job Description
We are a well-established Neurological Surgery practice in Fort Worth, TX looking for a qualified Physician Assistant to be an integral part of our practice. The position would be a combination of clinical and surgical duties, primarily responsible for assisting supervising physician in surgery but will also provide patient care in a clinic setting for pre- and post- operative patients. Ideal candidates will possess experience in Neurological Surgery. Excellent benefits and competitive compensation are significant draws to this position. Pay will be commensurate to experience. Applicants must be licensed in the state of Texas, Board Certified, and able to pass the needed background check for credentialing.
PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT - ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acts as First Assist in surgery at various facilities.
- Performs history and physical examinations, formulation of care plans, ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests and provides education to patients and their families.
- Document clinical encounters clearly, precisely and in a timely manner.
- Works in a collaborative relationship with other health professionals to determine health needs of patient and families. Demonstrates and role models an interdisciplinary collaborative approach to patient care.
- Required to follow HIPAA and OSHA compliance guidelines at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant studies program.
CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Current PA license in state of Texas.
- Current DEA certificate.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant by an approved certifying organization.
