Form of workSSM Health - Dean Medical Group, is actively recruiting a full-time and experienced Physician Assistant for our Vascular Surgery team in Madison, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities include surgical first assist, hospital rounding and providing postoperative care and vascular support in the clinic. The skills and qualifications of the ideal candidate would include strong surgical and/or vascular experience and a strong attraction to the operating room. Must be able to function in a high-stress environment and thrive within a team approach model.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Hours vary between 7-5pm; Monday through Friday
- Weekday call responsibilities are one weekday (Mon-Thurs) per week which frequently rotates and can vary.
- 1 in 4 rotating weekend call schedule
- Position is focused primarily on inpatient and OR responsibilities (approximately 70% of the time) with a small focus on outpatient follow up clinic (approximately 30% of the time)

Requirements
- Prefer post-education experience practicing as a Physician Assistant in a surgical specialty
- First-assist OR experience
- Wisconsin certified Physician Assistant
- BLS required and ACLS certification
