A small physician owned outpatient neurology office is looking to add an experienced Physician Assistant or a Nurse Practitioner to our practice. As a Neurology Provider you will be working closely with our doctors to assist in diagnosis and treatment of neurologic disorders, and complaints, such as balance, gait and mobility disorders, neuropathy, radiculopathy, epilepsy, movement disorders, migraines or dementia.
Responsibilites:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history, comprehensive neurologic evaluations, including, but not limited to mental status exam, cranial nerve testing, motor and sensory exams and cerebellar and gait testing.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as MRIs, CT scans, Labs, EEGs, and Nerve Conduction Tests.
- Prescribe medications and treatments within the scope of practice.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on neurologic conditions. Provide Principal Care management
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely, using electronic medical record systems (eclinical works).
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care in various settings.
Requirements:
- Valid Physician Assistant orNurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida
- Certification as a Physician Assistant orNurse Practitioner (e.g., Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner).
- Proficiency and knowledge of current healthcare practices.
- Experience working in neurology preferred, cardiology or orthopedics will be given consideration
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (eclinical works) is a plus.
