POSITION SUMMARY

Provides medical services to all patients facility-wide, as directed by the Medical Director.

Under the direction of the Medical Director, the Physician Assistant provides primary medical care for adults, mainly at the Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. - Reseda clinic, but may be required to provide services at other Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. Health sites.

Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. is a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike; which provides primary medical care to adults. Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. - Reseda clinic has a special focus on low income lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals, as well as persons living with HIV. We pride ourselves in the medical management of PrEP, PEP, STD's and Hepatitis services to the community.

Salary Range

$67 - $100.50 / Hour DOE

CATEGORIES OF DUTIES

1. Performs physical examinations.
2. Diagnoses, treats and prescribes medications under the supervision and written protocol of the Medical Director.
3. Orders lab and diagnostic work in conformance with the Medical Director’s written protocol for the treatment of specific illnesses or diseases.
4. Performs minor lacerations, as ordered and supervised by the Medical Director and his/her protocol.

EDUCATION

Completion of a professional Physician Assistant course at an accredited college and certification and licensing by the State of California Board of Medical Examiners as a Physician Assistant – PAC.

EXPERIENCE

One (1) consecutive year’s experience in a medical and/or psychiatric facility with experience in the care of the chemically dependent.
