We are looking for energetic, positive Physical Therapy Technicians who love to work with patients to help them through their rehabilitation.
Works under direct supervision of licensed physical therapist for all of the following but not limited to:
Transports patients, as needed to and from treatment area using wheelchairs or providing standing support
Prepares patient for treatment to include assisting with undressing/dressing
Assists with treatment as directed by the Physical/Occupational Therapist or PTA / OTA as allowed in the State Practice Act
Provides services to include exercises, heat/cold modalities, preventions of injury, bracing, and taping as allowed in the State Practice Act
Communicates with supervisor and other health care interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problems, or plans
Keeps treatment areas clean, organized, and unobstructed. Cleans equipment after treatment
Changes linens when applicable between patients
Answers phones, takes messages, and assists with patients at front desk
Assists in training and orienting of new staff
All other duties assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age with minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of exercise is a must.
Candidate should be friendly, hard working, self motivated, show initiative and be able to work with patients of different backgrounds and beliefs.
A Physical Therapy Technician must have good observational and communications skills, reporting to the therapist patient response to treatment.
