Physical Therapy Front Desk Receptionist

Job description/responsibilities :

• Create and manage electronic medical charts and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Manage patient schedules and provide clerical support for physical therapists and other health care clinicians
• Manage new patient intake and registration, collect copays
• Provide the absolute highest level of customer service to patients, addressing any inquiries or concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Must be able to effectively communicate in person, via email and phone
• Manage incoming/outgoing faxes, scanned documents and spreadsheets
• Manage busy, multi-line phones in a professional manner
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to optimize workflow and enhance overall efficiency
• Process and coordinate incoming referrals from multiple sources
• Provide focus and attention to detail in all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the front office including accuracy in data entry and record keeping
• Maintain an orderly and clean work area

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a Front Desk role required
• Minimum two (2) years experience in customer service oriented field required
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a medical setting, including scheduling
• Knowledge of insurance benefits and verification protocols is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
• Proficient computer skills, including Google Workspace / Microsoft Office / Word
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to provide coverage in our other locations as needed
• Ability to work full time M-F, opening/mid-day/closing shifts (This is not a part time position!)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
