Form of workThe Physical Therapist Assistant will assist Physical Therapists with providing therapeutic healthcare services to patients.
Part-time position, flexible hours. Need to work on Mondays. 32 hours a week but would take someone interested in 40. Out of our St. Louis Park location.

Essential Functions:
- Provides treatment to patients as directed by the Physical Therapist
- Provide therapeutic massage
- Observe patients and evaluate data on patient's progress
- Instructs families and caregiver on maintenance programs as directed by the Physical Therapist
- Answer phones, order supplies, complete forms
- Prepare detailed and comprehensive daily notes that support treatment charges
- Notify supervising Physical Therapist of any patient status change or poor tolerance to treatment
- Use and set-up modalities including Ultrasound, Traction, E-stim, Iontophoresis, and MedX
- Any and all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program; or equivalent experience
- Would like Pilates training or willing to train in Pilates.
- Currently licensed as Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of MN or state in which practicing
- Orthopedic and Sports Medicine experience required
- Strong Sports background preferred
- Athletic Training or Personal Training experience preferred
- Pilates Training / Certification preferred

- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
- Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
- Work in the clinic, office or surgery center during business hours
- Travel independently throughout the clinic, office or surgery center (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
- Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
- Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
- Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
- Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Understand and execute a variety of instructions
- Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Travel to other work locations, if required
