Job Description Summary:
Transports patients, administers or assists with therapeutic treatments in accordance with proper procedures and physician's orders. Provides feedback regarding patient status and effectiveness of treatment. Obtains and sets up necessary equipment, removes soiled linens, and performs clerical and other housekeeping tasks to maintain department in a sanitary and orderly condition. Performs other duties related to department under supervision of staff Physical Therapist.Minimum Qualifications:
High School or GED (Required)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart AssociationSkills normally acquired through a High school and with no previous Experience plus one to three months of time on the job. BLS Certification required. Work requires gathering and interpreting data where the information or problems are not difficult or complex. Work requires communication skills necessary to exchange factual matters with employees, patients, visitors and other outsiders, explain instructions and procedures to employees in department, comfort patients and patient families, contact outside suppliers to maintain established inventories in a manner which they will understand. Work requires generally performing according to existing procedures and instructions but requires organizing work, setting priorities and informing supervisor when exceptions occur. Work requires the ability to respond to an emergency situation appropriately.
