Job Description
Job Title: Physical Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for helping patients recover from injuries or surgeries, alleviate pain, improve mobility, and prevent further physical disabilities. You will work closely with patients to develop customized treatment plans and provide hands-on therapy to help them regain strength and function.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct initial evaluations of patients to assess their physical condition and needs
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient goals and physician recommendations
- Administer hands-on physical therapy techniques, exercises, and modalities to improve patient mobility and reduce pain
- Educate patients on the benefits of physical therapy and provide instruction on at-home exercises and stretches
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic patient care
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records to track progress and document treatment outcomes
Qualifications and Skills:
- Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of physical therapy techniques and modalities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with patients and healthcare team members
- Ability to assess patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans
- Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude towards helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals
