The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services by the New Jersey Practice Act, standards of accreditation and State regulatory bodies, and the Code of Ethics of the A, P,T, A,.
Physical Therapy practice involves the examination, evaluation, treatment, and instruction of individuals for the prevention, habilitation, or rehabilitation of physical disability, functional deficit, and/or pain.
Such practice includes but is not limited to the following areas: acute care, orthopedics, neurology, geriatrics, pediatrics, cardiopulmonary, home health, ob-gyn, OP Rehab, and oncology. It may also involve administration, education, and research.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assessing the physical therapy needs of the patient, preparing the rehabilitation plan of care based on the assessment that integrates goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plan, providing rehabilitation service to the patient as specified in the rehabilitation plan of care, reassessing the patient's response to services provided and revising the rehabilitation plan of care as needed. Documents care given within the Daily Treatment Note in EMR to support the delivery of therapy services. Incorporates an understanding of economic factors in the delivery of services and maintains compliance with productivity standards of the department as specified in the staffing plan.
Requirements:
Current NJ Licensure
Successful completion of all orientation programs
BLS certification
Must have experience treating acute care patients with various medical diagnoses including orthopedic, neurologic, and traumatic injuries/impairments,
Preferred Qualifications:
APTA Member
CI Certification by APTA
Primarily seeking Full-time PT position, some weekends and minimum 3 holidays if needed,
