Physical therapist examine each individual and develop a plan using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. Daily responsibilities of the PT include: a.) diagnose and manage movement dysfunction and enhance physical and functional abilities; b.) restore, maintain, and promote not only optimal physical function but optimal wellness and fitness and optimal quality of life as it relates to movement and health; and c.) prevent the onset, symptoms, and progression of impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities that may result from diseases, disorders, conditions, or injuries.
Requirements:
- Licensed in good standing by the state of Illinois as a Physical Therapist, graduated from an APTA approved curriculum.
- Cognitive and motor skills necessary to carry out skilled therapy evaluations, treatments, and documentation according to the Illinois Physical therapy Practice Act, APTA Core Values, and the Joint Commission.
- CPR certified.
- May be required to work any day of the week including holidays and weekends.
- Position requires continual physical activity including lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
