DSH-Metropolitan is accepting applications for Physical Therapist II, Permanent/Fulltime. Working Title: Physical Therapist II - Medical Services Department.
Under the direction of the Chief Physician and Surgeon and the Supervising Registered Nurse, the incumbent plans and supervises the physical therapy program at DSH-M. The Physical Therapist II will coordinate their activities with other instructional programs, train students, technical assistants, and non-technical assistants, assign, supervise, and evaluate the work of others, and take or recommend appropriate action with respect to the performance of subordinates. The incumbent will administer therapeutic exercises, local or general massage, muscle training, corrective exercises, and coordination work, will supervise the administration of hydrotherapy treatments, various types of electric therapy, and report on the physical conditions and reactions of clients.
Eligibility via permanent civil service status, reachability on an employment list, transfer eligibility, or reinstatement eligibility is required to be appointed to the position.
