Job Description
Goldson Spine Rehabilitation Center (GSRC) is a well-established Chiropractic and Physical Therapy facility. We also provide multi-disciplinary services including counseling and massage therapy to the South Florida and St. Lucie community. We operate under the mission “To provide the most courteous and effective care and increase the well-being of every person that walks through the door”.
GSRC is currently seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. The ideal candidate must be a team player and have a passion for helping patients enhance the quality of their lives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (not limited to):
· Observing patients before, during, and after therapy, noting their status/conditions, and reporting to the applicable Physical Therapist(s).
· Helping patients perform specific exercises as part of their care plan(s).
· Effectively communicating and working closely with Chiropractic doctors, GSRC team members, and patients as needed.
· Maintaining knowledge and staying up to date on the best and latest techniques for physical therapy.
· Listening to patients’ concerns and creating excellent experiences for patients with a friendly and helpful attitude.
· Maintaining professionalism and cleanliness of therapy rooms and common areas.
· Helping to keep accurate, thorough records as needed.
· Understanding and following general office standards, and operating procedures/ protocols.
· Taking advantage of opportunities to help market and showcase GSRC in the surrounding community when needed, among other things
The above responsibilities are not limited and may include other tasks as deemed necessary for the efficient operation of the core functions of Goldson Spine Rehabilitation Center.
Skills & Abilities:
· Good written and verbal communication skills in English, and able to communicate to a diverse range of people clearly and effectively
· Good use of technology: Microsoft programs (Word, Excel & Power Point) or similar, use of computer, printer, fax, scanner and copier machines
· Excellent time management skills and ability to successfully achieve set deadlines with a reasonable degree of accuracy
· Ability to work without close supervision and problem solve using own initiative
· Ability to work in and contribute to the team
· Ability to provide excellent customer service
