Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant.
Job Purpose: MACPT is currently looking for a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant to provide direct patient care services in our facility under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapy Assistant will be responsible for documenting patient treatments, changes in condition and other pertinent information as required. The successful candidate will also provide treatment and appropriate therapeutic techniques specific to the age and condition of each patient.
Duties:

The Physical Therapy Assistant will be responsible for documenting patient treatments, changes in condition and other pertinent information as required. The successful candidate will also provide treatment and appropriate therapeutic techniques specific to the age and condition of each patient.
Duties:
- Administer physical therapy treatment according to the Physical Therapists’ treatment plan.
- Communicate with manager and other health care interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problem areas or plans.
- Record daily treatment notes in a concise and timely manner.
- Maintain patient records confidentially.
- Supervise Physical Therapy Aides in direct patient care and related activities as requested by your manager.
- Propose treatment goals and objectives.
- Instruct patients on physical therapy interventions, modalities and home exercise programs.
- All other duties as assigned or directed.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Active CPR certification.
- Active VA PTA license.
- Knowledge of CPT & ICD-10 coding procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of physical therapy assistant principles and practices.
- Working knowledge of computer programs.
