Job Description:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in promoting the health and mobility of residents. Collaborating closely with skilled nursing and rehabilitation teams, you will implement effective physical therapy programs tailored to individual needs. Your responsibilities will include assisting in therapeutic exercises, monitoring progress, and supporting our residents' overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement rehabilitation plans.
- Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities to improve residents' physical well-being.
- Monitor and document residents' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Provide hands-on assistance and support during therapy sessions.
- Educate residents and their families on therapeutic exercises and activities for ongoing care.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- State licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Washington.
- Experience in a retirement community or skilled nursing facility is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
