Job Summary and Qualifications

The Physical Therapist (PT) provides high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of therapeutic care of an assigned group of patients in coordination with the physician and the patient care team. The Physical Therapist completes patient assessments and participates in developing and implementing individualized care plans focusing on goal achievement, patient engagement, and positive patient experience. The Physical Therapist provides or directs a majority of the patient’s physical therapy to support patients throughout the continuum of care.

What you will do in this role:

1. Creates an environment and culture that enables Rehabilitation Services to fulfill the mission of the Hospital to meet or exceed its goals.
2. In collaboration with the Medical Director and other clinical staff, assures the development of quality inpatient rehabilitation programming to meet market needs.
3. Collaborates effectively with all members of the rehabilitation team within the inpatient rehabilitation unit.
4. Works with the Therapy Services Manager to ensure the supply of appropriate resources to support the programs, services, organizational structure and staffing levels necessary for quality rehabilitation services. Coordinates as necessary with inpatient rehabilitation counterparts.
5. Implements operations and processes to support, facilitate, and maintain uniform performance of inpatient care including documentation.
6. Provides a safe, secure, and infection/hazard-free environment.
7. Supports the Therapy Services Manager in development, implementation, and monitoring of the quality management plan for inpatient rehabilitation services.
8. The Physical Therapist supports interdepartmental performance-improvement/customer satisfaction activities.
9. Demonstrates high ethical standards in customer service through all interactions with the patients, families, coworkers, staff, other hospital departments, physicians, community and all others.
10. Creates a high quality, professional clinical environment to facilitate the necessary recruitment of appropriate numbers of qualified staff.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• State Licensure
• Bachelors Degree or higher in Physical Therapy
• Direct inpatient rehab experience; one year or more preferred, involving extensive knowledge of rehab/criteria
